Ms. Jean is a passionate teacher with experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums. She is highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. She helps students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills. Ms. Jean is a compassionate, creative, and effective teacher with valuable experience in classroom administration, professional development and project planning. She is equipped with an extensive background in versatile educational environments, student-centered instructor, academic facilitator, and motivational speaker. She is also competent at performing independently or as a member of a teaching team. She keeps the classroom organized and students on task to facilitate active and effective learning. She is diligent and adaptable in meeting individual needs with a warm and caring environment. She closely monitors students’ progress while implementing modern teaching strategies for learners to practice daily and is committed to working with passion and diligence in performing tasks given by leaders, maintaining professionalism in the workplace, seeking professional development and embracing challenges utilizing interpersonal skills.
After graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy, God directed her towards education and she took a Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Biological Science. She then worked as a substitute teacher and tutored children and eventually proceeded to another course of study and received her Bachelor in Elementary Education Major in Preschool. After passing the licensure Exam for Teacher, she then worked as a teacher in one of the Seventh-day Adventist Schools in South Philippines. She then moved on to work in the Department of Education for seven years. She continued with her education taking her Master of Arts in Christian Education Major in Educational Management awarded with Latin honors as Cum Laude.
Ms. Jean has been called and is delighted to serve Discover Christian School as Head teacher this academic year with high hopes and prayers that God will lead her to bring light and integrate faith and learning to every student.
